The cinema release of ‘Twig’ in hottest November.

The short film ‘Twig’ I made with composer Denis Surette, poet Christine Melanson and the team at FICFA, Moncton, had its first theatrical screening at the Silverwave International Film Festival, 2022, in Fredericton.

Seeing your film projected is one of the great gifts of being selected and then attending film festivals. I am happy to report ‘Twig’ held up on the big screen and coincided with climate debates in Egypt.

There has been eerily warm temperatures in Atlantic Canada these past few years and it strikes me apt that ‘Twig’ had its day coinciding with the historical year of 2022; the hottest on record, however, to be surpassed by 2023.

This short film is a dystopian poem from the future.
